Committed to Excellence

The Brooksville Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency within the city limits of Brooksville. We are dedicated to promoting the safety and welfare of the citizens of Brooksville by controlling and preventing crime and providing other essential public safety services.  The department is comprised of an Administration Section, Investigations Section and Operations Section which includes patrol, traffic enforcement, K-9, and community services. Both the Brooksville Police Department and the Brooksville Fire Department utilize the county’s Emergency Operations Center as a central dispatch center for emergency services.

The MISSION of the Brooksville Police Department is to provide all the citizens of Brooksville with a safe community that fosters trust and confidence in its police officers. The Brooksville Police Department is committed to protecting life and property through prevention of the commission of crimes, reduction of the opportunities for crime to occur, identification of criminal offenders and criminal activity, and when appropriate, the apprehension of offenders and participation in subsequent court proceedings. This is best accomplished by building a partnership with citizens that is based on law enforcement that is accessible, indiscriminate, unassuming, flexible, available, and open to the needs of the community it serves.

The Police Department is located at the Public Safety Complex at 87 Veterans Ave. The station provides the base for operations and administrative functions of the agency.
