MISSION
In partnership with the Hernando County Fine Arts Council, the City of Brooksville established an Art Gallery throughout City Hall that rivals the best galleries around. Its mission is to encourage and preserve the arts, honor artistic endeavors, and stimulate an appreciation for art. The City Hall Art Gallery provides a prominent location for artists of various mediums to proudly display their work.
EXHIBITS The exhibits change every three months and , in addition to paintings, often feature photography, illustrated poetry, wood carving, jewelry, quilts, and private collections.

The quilt is made up of 22 blocks, with each block portraying a part of the county’s history. A catalog of the works by artist Mary A. Coogler (1879-1957) is being archived at the Gallery. The Gallery has an extensive private collection of donated works including the Lewis Watkins’ Historical Prints. HOURS OF OPERATION The Brooksville City Hall Art Gallery is open 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, except holidays. Admission is free. For more information contact Rhonda Hancock at 352-540-3810.
